Journaling: benefits and how-to's Decorate a Journal to keep
Could you make the journals for those of us who couldn't be there on day one?
ReplyDeleteThat is a good idea. I will make a few, and have them at the group tomorrow. I also have a handout on journaling that I can give people who missed that session.
ReplyDeleteI received this in an email today. Steve asked that I post it on the website, because he wasn't able to. This kind of response makes ally work worthwhile. Thank you, Steve.
ReplyDeleteTo those in the support group of Sheryl's:
I was at the last workshop, and it was very good to be able to talk about feelings that comes with chronic pain. I hope that everyone can come to this week's group, as it really helps when people get together and share things about what happens to us mentally when the nightmares come (pain that is so intense that we cannot handle it). Having attempt suicide twice due only to pain, and an inability to control my life from it, and feeling helpless. Well, I do not need to go on, as we all know how that is. It is understandable if you cannot make it due to the difficulties in life from our conditions, but I really look forward to meeting everyone, and hopeful to share our experiences and what helps when our illnesses take a turn for the worse. I need your help in sharing with me, so please come if you can.
Thanks from a grateful sufferer, especially to Sheryl for taking her time in trying to help us.
Steve
Hi Sheryl,
ReplyDeleteI heard aboout your blog from a friend of mine who lives in Wooster. How awesome it is that you are doing this for those of us with Sjogren's/fibromyalgia! I wish I could attend your meetings, but I live in Meadville, Pa. So would it be ok if I just follow you on your blog? We have a Lupus support group here in Meadville, which helps a little, but no one there has primary sjogren's, so sometimes their issues are alot different than mine.
I look forward to reading your blog and hearing from you!
Beth Nazelrod
Hi Beth- The blog and support group are separate ventures,so you can do either one or both. If you are ever in the Akron area, come to the support group. We also have a local Sjogren's Syndrome support group, which I helped found 4 years ago, and co-lead. If you have not done so yet, I suggest joining the Sjogren's Syndrome foundation, www.Sjogrens.org, and checking out the Sjogren's on line communities at www.dry.org. It really is nice to be in contact with people who can relate to your issues.
